Morning sun is behind you (Fuji is due west), so it's front-lit and sharp. Two forecast models disagree on the afternoon (Open-Meteo was clearer), but both agree the morning is best. That's why this plan takes the first trains and is at the pass by about 10:00.

Where to get a case (offline, cheap)

Rule: the box must say「AirPods Pro 3 / 第3世代 対応」

The Pro 3 charging case is a different size from the Pro 2 one, so Pro 2 cases (most ¥110 and gacha cases) won't fit. I found no confirmed Pro 3 case at Daiso, 3COINS, Seria or in gacha, so under ¥500 isn't realistic right now. If you see one there, check the label first.

HELLO CYCLING has a port at アジア文化会館 itself (本駒込2-12-13), and another one, 末広町駅東 (外神田5-6-15), about 170 m from the shop. Riding skips the two transfers and the 10-minute walk from 上野御徒町, so it's roughly 20 minutes faster than the trains. Weather today 12–13h: cloudy, 20%, ~20°C, fine for riding.

Plan A: share bike (≈ 52 min door to door)

  1. 今すぐSet up the HELLO CYCLING app now (phone number + credit card). Within 30 min of leaving, reserve a bike at「アジア文化会館」 and a return slot at「末広町駅東」; reservations are free and auto-cancel after 30 min.Price shows in the app; Tokyo is about ¥130–200 for the first 30 min, so one charge each way, about the same as the train.
  2. 12:30Unlock at the ABK port and ride south: 本郷通り → 本郷三丁目 → left on 春日通り down to 上野広小路 → right on 中央通り to 末広町.About 4.3 km by road. ≈18 min with lights. Route on map (Google has no bike mode in Japan, so it opens as walking; the line is what matters).
  3. 12:50Return at 末広町駅東 (外神田5-6-15), walk ≈2 min to じゃんぱら秋葉原5号店 (外神田3-16-17).HELLO bikes only go back to HELLO ports (not docomo). Backup HELLO ports near the shop: パークステーション外神田第5 and 秋葉原新高第1生命ビル; check free slots in the app.

Plan C: trains (checked timetables)

It does not fit in 45 minutes.

Best case you reach the shop at about 13:01. Getting back takes about 30 minutes, so with 10 minutes in the shop you are back at ABK at about 13:44, which is 29 minutes late. Even if you turned round at the door you'd be back at about 13:31. Use the 12:30 slot for the phone call, and do the trip after 13:15 (Plan B below, same trains every 6 min).

Way there (if you go at 12:30)

  1. 12:30Leave ABK (本駒込2-12-12). Walk to 千石 Sengoku, exit A1.3 min walk per ABK’s own access page.
  2. 12:33Down to the platform for 目黒・東急線方面 (southbound, “Meguro / Tōkyū line”). NOT 西高島平.The 12:31 train will already be gone. Ride near the front.
  3. 12:37I 三田線日吉行 Hiyoshi-bound, 6 cars. 2 stops: 白山 → 春日 Kasuga.
  4. 12:40Get off at 春日. Follow the magenta 大江戸線 signs; it’s an in-station transfer, don’t go out through a ticket gate.About 3 min (escalator down, along the B3 corridor, up the escalator, then down to the Ōedo platform). Use platform 4: 両国・大門方面.
  5. 12:45E 大江戸線両国・大門方面 (Ryōgoku / Daimon). 2 stops: 本郷三丁目 → 上野御徒町 Ueno-okachimachi.If you miss it, the next one leaves at 12:51 and everything after it moves 6 min later.

Plan B: go after 13:15 (the one that works)

Same route, same stations. Trains run every 6 minutes all afternoon on both lines, so you never wait long. Door to door it’s about 31 minutes each way, and the shop is open until 19:30.

  • 千石 A1 → 三田線 目黒・東急線方面 → 春日
  • 春日 → 大江戸線 両国・大門方面 → 上野御徒町
  • Walk 中央通り south to 末広町 → shop

One fare each way, Toei to Toei (≈¥180–220 by IC card; I didn’t check the exact fare).

A taxi both ways, ≈15 min each way. That’s my estimate, not a quote: around ¥1,500–2,000 each way. Your money is set for ¥33,480 with only a few hundred yen spare, so I wouldn’t.

    • Take the bus marked 湯元温泉 Yumoto Onsen. Tap Suica when you get on and when you get off.
    • Get off at 赤沼 Akanuma (about 1 hour, up the Irohazaka hairpins いろは坂).

    Walk the Senjōgahara boardwalk to Yudaki Falls戦場ヶ原自然研究路（しぜんけんきゅうろ）→ 泉門池（いずみやどいけ）→ 湯滝（ゆだき）· about 2 hours, flat

    • Start at 赤沼 Akanuma, follow the wooden path across the moor. Golden larches (カラマツ) are at their peak now.
    • Halfway: 泉門池 Izumiyado pond. Use the toilet at 赤沼 before you start.
    • Finish at 湯滝 Yudaki Falls, then walk 5 min to the bus stop 湯滝入口 Yudaki-iriguchi.
    • Rain likely from about 12:00. Wear the rain jacket; the wet boardwalk is slippery.

    • Hours: every day 12:30–14:30, last entry 14:00. No booking needed.
    • At the entrance, check day bathing is open, then buy the Asoview (アソビュー) ticket on your phone by card: ¥1,000 with a face towel (normal ¥1,400). Show the ticket screen at the front desk. No refunds, so buy it there.
    • Milky sulphur water straight from the source. Outdoor bath surrounded by trees with autumn leaves.
    • No tattoos (also stickers). You must be out by 14:30; that leaves time for the free foot bath (あんよの湯) on the way to the 14:50 bus.

    ② あんよの湯 Anyo no Yu foot bath: free, 9:00–20:00, has a roof. Bring a small towel.
